Land at Mabledon, Kent.

PlanIT Planning and Development has secured planning permission for a crematorium and remembrance gardens on a 16 hectares site in Kent. This proposal addressed a number of planning policy issues relating to Green Belt, an SSSI, and a local Wildlife Site which required a complex mitigation strategy to protect the site’s tapestry of wildlife interests.

PlanIT Planning and Development Ltd recommended to clients that an Inspectors decision letter to dismiss an appeal for 34 residential units should be challenged. This case was reported to  the Court of Appeal on the 22nd January 2014 and the Challenge succeeded. The judgement found that Inspector had failed to take proper account of evidence relating to the viability of refurbishing industrial units on the appeal site and was therefore flawed. The matter has now been considered by a second Inspector and planning permission has been granted.. Please refer to this article.
